We are committed to strong pastoral and moral care. There is a carefully managed program of pastoral care which supports all the pupils in developing well-rounded personalities, as well as meeting their academic targets. Christian values are the cornerstone of the West Mills’ foundation. Religious instruction is therefore in accordance with the Christian faith and is compulsory for all pupils. However, pupils of all faith are welcome and valued.
The School’s aim in its pastoral policy is to give individual attention to every pupil. Close consideration is given to personal and social development, thus putting into perspective the many areas of school activity (the academic, spiritual, curricular and extra-curricular) in which each pupil participates. We offer the conditions which enable each pupil thrive among friends. We also strive to create an environment which is stimulating, varied and challenging so that the pupil recognizes the importance and potential of his own attitudes and effort. It encourages him/her to develop a sound moral and practical philosophy.
In addition, the School assists every pupil so that he/she is able to deal successfully with practical matters (such as conditions for study and time allocation) affecting his/her academic life.
Extra Lessons – revision and master classes are offered in a wide range of subjects and also at the Advanced Level.
